TMMT provided the PCN with 1 x FTE PCN Pharmacy Technician to support in the following areas:

Pharmacy technician support was a new introduction to this practice, hence there was initial hesitation by the practice team. The technician was able to exceed and deliver targets set by the practice. This is in part due to the thorough and rigorous training provided by TMMT accompanied by ongoing support.

Clinical work is audited to ensure quality and practice needs are being met furthermore to identify any issues early on. Initial hesitancy with a TECH led service was overcome with weekly then monthly TEAMS meetings for feedback and to have clear open lines of communication.

And annual saving of £30,255 utilising a TECH rather than a pharmacist. The Practice feedback for our technician service has great, hence this success story has been replicated at other sites.
