Helping Parents-to-Be Go Alcohol-Free 🌟

FASD NICE Quality Standards Statement 1: Pregnant women are given advice throughout pregnancy not to drink alcohol.

  • For Everyone Involved: Whether you’re pregnant, planning, or know someone who is, remember: drinking alcohol during pregnancy puts the baby at risk. 🚫🍷

  • Risks: Miscarriage, premature birth, low birth weight, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) are potential dangers. ⚠️👶

  • FASD: Affects 1 in 100 babies (WHO). Symptoms include physical and mental issues like brain, kidney, and limb damage, and learning difficulties. 🌍📊

  • Children with FASD: May show learning difficulties, poor impulse control, memory issues, and social understanding problems, often misdiagnosed as autism or Asperger’s. 🧠📝

  • Campaign Message: No safe time or amount to drink alcohol during pregnancy. 🛑
